Yale University was a very unique project, because of the high level of LEEDS requirements. We used 100% FSC certified lumber, certified veneer and a solid surface man made product “Alkemi”, which uses recycled aluminum combined with a resin to formulate a very appealing look.
This project also required custom plastic laminate closets built knock down so they could be assembled on site, because of the oversized depth. Yale University had strict deadlines that we were able to meet despite changes required due to the buildings existing mechanicals.
All of the solid maple used came from a Pennsylvania based company that has its own renewable forest. This allowed them to provide us with the F.S.C. material needed in short notice in order to meet the scheduled deadlines.
